We met while attending Arizona State University. Jordan grew up in Arizona and Alison ended up there after being born and raised in Germany. Our first seven years of marriage brought multiple moves across the West, Midwest and Northeast as we navigated school and work changes. Then came 15 years of owning our first home and raising four kids. We enjoyed hiking, camping, boating and trips to the ocean.

We moved to Montana to experience Yellowstone, Glacier National Park and all that mountain living had to offer with backpacking, hiking, biking, snowshoeing, and skiing. We hosted Airbnb guests in empty bedrooms and later purchased and renovated a historic downtown Bozeman property, which we ran as a Bed & Breakfast. We lived in the basement, turning it into a little apartment, while Alison ran the business fulltime and cleaned lots of bathrooms! Over the next four years, we hosted thousands of guests from all over the world and met all sorts of interesting people. We also tried to fit in time to still travel, play in our local area and enjoy being Oma & Opa to our grandkids.

In 2020 we sold our B&B, both retired and decided to embark on our next life chapter living as fulltime nomads. This has meant lots of different places and living arrangements (RV, short term rentals & leases). This blog chronicles our experiences in a personal way. Hopefully it's fun to use and helpful as you plan your next adventure.
