The Astonishingly beautiful Southern Oregon Coast

We spent a week in this incredible area of southern Oregon and just fell in love with the breathtaking hikes along the coast. There are so many places to explore, wander out and take in the crashing waves, epics views, amazing rock formations and wildflowers. Every time we went out Jordan would say "this is one of my favorite hikes!".

We stayed in wonderful Honey Bear By the Sea RV Resort which is located about 15 minutes north of Gold Beach. It was one of the nicest RV parks we've ever stayed in. Really large, wooded, clean/well maintained with an easy walk to the beach. Our spot provided amazing views each night of the sunsets and one evening I sat on the beach watching the colors change as the sun went down.

There were herds of elk that roamed through the meadows surrounding the campground and I had fun one evening capturing a few images of some females.

We loved exploring the Sisters Rock State Park which is a very small area but just packed with the most vibrant pink wildflowers, an incredible cave to climb down in, gorgeous beach and lots of cliff swallows to watch. It's one of the newer state parks (2005) and has quite an eclectic history which was cool to look up and read about here. This was less than 5 miles from the RV park.

This area definitely wet our appetite for a return visit because there was so much more we could have explored and we LOVED everything.
