We were headed into Utah's Bryce Canyon National Park and were surprised to pass through this amazing area right off Highway 12! There were a couple of really cool rock arch tunnels that we drove through, a visitor's center, a paved bike path and several hiking trails. And it was free!
The first time we came through we pulled over a couple of times and wandered a bit to enjoy the gorgeous red sandstone spires.
We liked the area so much we decided to return another day to hike just a little north of this on the short but beautiful Arches Trail. We meandered a bit but in hiking a little over a mile we saw all of this!
If you're coming to Bryce Canyon be sure to plan a little time to stop and enjoy this area, too.
