PNW Island Living

Coupeville - Whidbey Island, WA

Whidbey Island is the largest of the islands in Island County, WA and we stayed south of the coastal town of Coupeville in a very quiet neighborhood. We were surrounded by deer that lived and wandered throughout the small community. It's a wonderful laid back full of nature kinda place with lots of gorgeous outside places to play in.

How do you get on the island? You can drive there, but we took our car on the ferry from Port Townsend. It was quicker and super convenient. Due to the pandemic we had to remain in our car, but on previous visits we have enjoyed the beautiful views from the upper decks. It's a good idea to make a reservation ahead especially during the busier times of the year. You can do that here.

I got an incredible new camera & long camera lens!! Spent lots of time learning how to use it this month. Some of these images were captured as I practiced at my neighbors amazing bird feeder, from the beach and from the balcony at the house we stayed in.
