Vernal, UT: More Fun Fall Things to Do

We had fun spending a couple of days hanging out with our friends Lance & Melinda. The weather was just beautiful and the Fall colors were just as gorgeous as everywhere else we'd been in the state.

Our first day we drove through Red Fleet State Park stopping to soak up the amazing Aspens and views.

Part way through the drive we hiked down into Big Brush Creek Cave which is the second largest cave in Utah (around 5 miles of passageways). We didn't go in very far as it's quite dark, cold, rocky and after the initial 15 minutes it turns into passageways you have to squeeze/slide through. There were ropes to help as we hiked our way down the last steep part to get to the entrance. Inside the cave there's a couple of ice columns!

The next day we hiked the Moonshine Arch trail which took us through some pretty open views. We had fun climbing on top of the arch as well as around the rock formations.

We made a quick stop at the reservoir to catch some incredible reflections on the water to end our time together.

Until next time!
