Lagos, Portugal Recommendations

We took a boat tour out of Positano that went along the coast and in a few caves (including Benagil). We were able to cover a lot more miles since we weren't kayaking and it was nice to just sit there and enjoy the ride. Afterwards we lounged at Praia da Rocha for a bit of sand and relaxing.

Our last few days in Lagos were filled with amazing food, lounging near/on the beach, listening to music in Old Town and soaking up the things we've come to love.

I thought I'd share some of our favorite places for food in Old Town in case you ever come to this area and want ideas! These are where many of our beautiful food pictures came from and each of them have wonderfully friendly staff. We ate at lots of other yummy places but these stand out in our memories.

Estudio Vegetariano - scrumptious small restaurant with vegan and vegetarian specialties that are gorgeous looking & tasting.

Real Portugese Cuisine - small intimate nice restaurant that has a classy feel. Everything they serve is beautifully presented and tastes wonderful. They serve a complimentary glass of port at the end. They have a few outside tables as well.

Goji Lounge Cafe - our favorite spot for breakfast/lunch. Wonderful outside tables in a pretty setting and everything we tried was amazing.

Scartuccio - little Italian restaurant with both nice outside seating. Great Pizza and wine.

la Estrella - a small Belgian restaurant with great beers and yummy comfort food.

Empanadas & Co - just filled with beautiful/delicious empanadas as well as a great salad. Great outside seating as well.

7 Hills Indian Restaurant - just wonderfully yummy dishes and appetizers.

London Tiger Coffee - great little place for a drink and slice of cake.

Mar d'Estórias - rootop bar at the top serves wonderful drinks and nibbles with pretty view of church steeple and tops of houses.

Goldig Cafe - wonderful fresh fruit options as well as great coffee. Great people watching from the tables outside.

Mar Restaurant & Bar - Outside tables on the edge of the cliffs overlooking the water with great views. Loved sitting here with a glass of wine/olives/bread.

Has it already been a month??? Our time here has just been so amazing and we've fallen in love with the area, the views from our balconies and Lagos especially. We are kind of worried that we may end up being disappointed with our next location after such an incredible start to Portugal!!! Lisbon here we come.
